A woman, 19 years old, was arrested for murder after a Facebook Marketplace meetup turned deadly

The woman, who is 19 years old, was caught by Dallas police for killing a man at a Facebook Marketplace meetup.

It happened last week, not far from an elementary school or a busy Dallas highway, and many people saw it.

Ahmad Alkhalaf, a husband and father from Sasche who was 66 years old, was killed at a gas station in Oak Cliff near I-35 and South Marsalis Avenue in the middle of the afternoon, according to police.

Shots were fired last Friday around 3 p.m., just as Felix G. Botello Elementary School, which is right next door, was finishing.

Court records say that when two Dallas ISD police officers arrived at the Valero, they found Alkhalaf dead next to his pickup truck. In the end, he died in the hospital.

The cops in Dallas found that Alkhalaf had gone there to sell a black iPhone 15 to a person he had been talking to on Facebook Marketplace.

The police found several CCTV tapes from shops nearby. The video supposedly shows Amaya Medrano (19) and Alkhalaf having a short conversation before Medrano runs away.

Authorities say that as Alkhalaf chased her, cameras caught Medrano turning around and shooting Alkhalaf.

FOX 4 got a copy of the arrest warrant document on Thursday. It says that the tattoos on Medrano’s face and neck were connected to her social media accounts.

Three days after the shooting death, police found that the Facebook account Alkhalaf used to talk to others was also selling a black iPhone 15 on Marketplace.

On Wednesday, Dallas police said that Medrano had been caught by U.S. Marshals and was being held in the Dallas County jail.

Alkhalaf’s family says he is a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. After that, they said that he was a humble man who worked hard to support his family both at home and abroad.

The family of Alkhalaf is shocked and confused by this pointless murder, which they say happened over a cell phone.

Court records show that Medrano is on probation for five years for aggravated attack with a deadly weapon. He admitted to stabbing someone last year and is now on probation.

Medrano is now being charged with murder with the death penalty. The bond for her was $1 million.
